What to wear and what to bring on your Beekeeping course:

  1. What to wear:
    1. Almost everyting to do with beekeeping is either sticky or it stains - Propolis in particular, when it gets into your clothes it is hell to get it out again.
    2. Wear very old clothes. This is no time to show off your new outfit!!What to wear
    3. We provide bee suits for each day of the beekeeping course, so don't worry about buying one to do the course.
    4. Remember that a bee suit is quite hot on top of your existing clothes, so it is good to be prepared to take a some layers off before putting your bee suit on.
  2. What to bring:
    1. Wellies. The Course is held in a location where there is sometimes mud, wet grass and country stuff like that. Also bees that fall to the floor travel upwards. Wellies stop them from going up your trouser leg.
    2. Please bring a pen and notepad as there is a lot to remember and you may not manage it without taking notes.
